Role overview
We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join a fast-scaling Series B deep tech company at the forefront of AI, LLMs, and quantum-inspired technologies. You will work on cutting-edge projects involving Large Language Models, AI agents, RAG systems, and computer vision, collaborating with an international and highly skilled team.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Design and develop quantum-inspired techniques to compress and optimize Large Language Models
- check_circle Conduct rigorous model evaluations, benchmarking, fine-tuning, and optimization for accuracy, robustness, and efficiency
- check_circle Build LLM-based applications, including RAG systems and AI agents
- check_circle Assess model strengths and weaknesses and propose innovative improvements
- check_circle Act as a domain expert in LLMs, identifying opportunities for AI-driven innovation
- check_circle Design, train, and deliver custom deep learning models for clients
- check_circle Work across diverse AI domains, including computer vision
- check_circle Maintain thorough documentation of experiments, models, and development processes
- check_circle Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
- check_circle Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- check_circle Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AI and LLM technologies
- check_circle Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
- check_circle 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, training, or fine-tuning deep learning models
- check_circle Strong experience with transformer models (LLMs and/or computer vision)
- check_circle Proficiency with Python and libraries such as PyTorch and HuggingFace (Transformers, Accelerate, Datasets)
- check_circle Solid mathematical and theoretical understanding of deep learning algorithms (training & inference)
- check_circle Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Docker, and deploying AI solutions
- check_circle Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
- check_circle Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- check_circle Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- check_circle Research publications in deep learning or related fields are a **plus
- check_circle Experience working in Spain
- check_circle Background in cybersecurity-related AI projects
- check_circle 3–4 years of professional experience as an AI / Machine Learning Engineer
- check_circle Barcelona, Barcelona provincia: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
- check_circle AI/ Machine Learning Engineer: 3 years (Preferred)
