Responsibilities

check_circle Design, train, and deploy ML models for traffic prediction, routing, and congestion detection
check_circle Analyze large-scale geospatial datasets from GPS, connected vehicles, and public traffic sources
check_circle Develop map-matching, road segmentation, and anomaly detection algorithms
check_circle Build scalable data pipelines for spatial and temporal data ingestion and cleaning
check_circle Optimize model performance and accuracy through experimentation and feature engineering
check_circle Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate models into mapping and analytics systems
check_circle Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders

Bachelor's or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Transportation Engineering, or related field
Experience in applied machine learning or data science
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Experience working with geospatial libraries (GeoPandas, Shapely, GDAL) and spatial databases (PostGIS, BigQuery GIS)
Solid understanding of spatial statistics, time-series modeling, and routing algorithms
Familiarity with distributed data tools (Spark, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Ability to translate ambiguous research questions into structured analytical approaches
Strong technical writing and communications skills

Experience with traffic simulations (SUMO, MATSim) or transportation optimization
Background in navigation, mobility platforms, or smart city analytics
Familiarity with visualization and mapping tools (Kepler.gl, Deck.gl, Mapbox, Power BI)
Experience operationalizing ML models in production environments
Strong machine learning and analytical skills
Curiosity about how real-world movement can be modeled and predicted
Clear communication and an ability to deliver actionable insights
