Sr. Software Engineer, Generative AI
Role overview
As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Generative AI team, you will be responsible for building and supporting enterprise-grade applications that leverage emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to create process efficiencies and deliver business value. You will own complex technical components, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers while continuously learning and growing toward leadership roles.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using best practices.
- check_circle Own technical components and ensure maintainability, quality, security, and performance.
- check_circle Collaborate with product, data science, and operations teams to deliver AI-driven solutions.
- check_circle Create effective automated tests and ensure high test coverage.
- check_circle Break down high-level requirements into small, testable, releasable components.
- check_circle Provide support for critical applications running in production, including troubleshooting and incident resolution.
- check_circle Mentor colleagues and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- check_circle Stay current with emerging technologies and proactively suggest improvements.
- check_circle Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and fun team environment.
- check_circle 7+ years’ experience in software development with strong full-stack and DevOps skills.
- check_circle Proficiency in Git, Python & Python packaging (pip, Poetry, virtual environments) and Front-End technologies, particularly React.js.
- check_circle Experience with Azure Cloud and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- check_circle Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- check_circle Experience with REST APIs, authentication and authorization frameworks.
- check_circle Database expertise (SQL, ORMs, Postgres, MySQL; relational and non-relational).
- check_circle Understanding of software development security fundamentals.
- check_circle Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- check_circle Azure AI services and Generative AI (LLMs).
- check_circle Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
- check_circle Linux administration and scripting (e.g., Bash).
- check_circle Microsoft Copilot and related AI productivity tools
- check_circle Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- check_circle Delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on time and within budget.
- check_circle Positive feedback from team members and stakeholders.
- check_circle Demonstrated ownership of complex technical components and mentorship contributions.
- check_circle Continuous improvement in code quality, test coverage, and system reliability.
