Role overview
We’re looking for a Data Scientist with expertise in parallel programming, Linux administration and software systems to join our Seattle team. You’ll use your programming, mathematics and analytics experience to write scalable; production facing code and develop creative solutions to challenging problems. Together we’ll be working in parallel, highly distributed, Linux-based environments that leverage our proprietary search and computing platform.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Design, develop, debug and maintain the parallel proprietary code bases that are used for complex data fusion and entity resolution algorithms sitting at the core of our risk management offerings.
- check_circle Create novel search capabilities that leverage inverted indices, Bayesian inference and higher order clustering techniques.
- check_circle Work closely with our engineers to integrate your innovations into our production systems.
- check_circle Support business decisions with ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- check_circle Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of work experience in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, or related field.
- check_circle Experience using C / C++ and MPI in a Linux environment.
- check_circle Experience debugging and optimizing distributed code.
- check_circle Experience building and maintaining software build systems.
- check_circle Experience working with large data sets for data mining, analytics, modeling.
- check_circle Understanding of relational algebra and database operations.
