Remote Sr Data Scientist
Responsibilities
- check_circle Develop and implement best practices for data science and analytics across the organization
- check_circle Design and optimize data pipelines, automation workflows, and model deployment strategies
- check_circle Lead advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI initiatives for healthcare applications
- check_circle Collaborate with Enterprise Intelligence & Data Analytics to standardize tools and frameworks
- check_circle Provide technical mentorship to data scientists and analysts
- check_circle Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and ethical AI standards
- check_circle Communicate complex insights to clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders
- check_circle Support health equity principles in all analytics work
- check_circle Participate in data stewardship and governance programs
- check_circle Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and platforms
- check_circle Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- check_circle Experience:
- check_circle 10+ years in data science, analytics, or business intelligence (healthcare preferred)
- check_circle 7+ years in development roles focused on data science
- check_circle Certifications:
- check_circle Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model & Development (may be obtained after hire)
Preferred qualifications
- Epic certifications in Clarity or related modules
- Microsoft SQL, Power BI, AI/ML certifications
- Six Sigma or Lean certifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure ML, Microsoft Fabric) and programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
- Lead enterprise-level data science initiatives in a respected health system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on impactful projects
- Access cutting-edge tools and platforms for advanced analytics
- Drive innovation that improves patient outcomes and operational efficiency

Position Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will serve as a key expert and collaborator within the Quality Services division, while partnering with Enterprise Intelligence & Data Analytics to support enterprise-wide initiatives. You will lead efforts in predictive modeling, machine learning, and data engineering, ensuring consistency, scalability, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role includes technical mentorship, governance participation, and strategic contributions to systemwide analytics projects.
