At Deloitte, our Artificial Intelligence & Data Team is at the forefront of transforming businesses through cutting-edge AI and data science solutions.
This role offers the chance to tackle complex business challenges by designing and deploying innovative AI technologies that deliver real impact.
You will work alongside diverse clients and collaborate across multiple business functions, gaining broad industry exposure and opportunities for leadership, personal growth, and continuous learning in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key skills and prior experience
- A minimum of a third-level degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience deploying data-driven and AI applications into production, ideally within fast-paced settings.
- Strong proficiency in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and working with large datasets using tools like Hadoop or Spark.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, alongside expertise in working with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, LLama, Gemini, etc.) including fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is advantageous.
What type of work will I be doing?
- Developing and implementing AI algorithms and solutions to address complex business problems.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and integrate AI models into applications and systems.
- Designing and building scalable machine learning pipelines and infrastructure.
- Optimising AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Ensuring the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies in all projects.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance on AI projects while managing stakeholder relationships and building client trust.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members, offering both technical and non-technical support.
- Designing, developing, and deploying intelligent agents to automate tasks and enhance system capabilities.
