Your responsibilities

As our next AI Engineer you design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems in close collaboration with data scientists, data engineers, and our clients' technical teams:

  • Design and implementation of AI solutions — from proof of concept to production deployment in the cloud or on-premises
  • Building and maintaining robust data preprocessing pipelines, model serving infrastructure, and AI-powered applications in Python
  • Development of LLM-based solutions including RAG architectures, AI agents, and multi-modal applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Microsoft Agent Framework
  • Integration of Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Foundry) into scalable cloud-native architectures
  • Close collaboration with your team in the conception and architecture of end-to-end AI systems for our clients
  • Supporting and facilitating technical workshops with client teams
  • Working across different industries on diverse AI engineering use-cases

Skills and experience

  • Educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Strong Python skills and experience building production-grade AI/ML systems, including familiarity with libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers
  • Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps
  • Solid understanding of LLM application development — including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, vector databases and evaluation frameworks
  • Experience with MLOps practices: CI/CD for ML, model versioning (e.g. MLflow) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with cloud deployments and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform or Bicep)
  • Motivation and passion for staying on the cutting edge of AI and continuously honing your skills
  • Minimum monthly gross salary: € 3.800 (14 times per year, based on 38.5h/week, no all-in contract). We always ensure a competitive salary adjusted to your qualifications and experience.
  • Comfortable speaking in both German and English
