**Job Title: AI Engineer – Generative AI Platforms
Location: Concord, CA
Pay Rate: $78/ Hr. on W2
Duration: 12 + Months
Job Summary**
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep hands-on experience building and operating production-grade Generative AI applications. This role is a senior individual contributor position, serving as a technical leader and subject matter expert within the team. You will design, build, and operate scalable AI-driven services, collaborate closely with Principal Engineers on technical architecture, and ensure operational excellence across multi-cloud environments.
**Key Responsibilities
Advanced Software Development**
- Serve as a senior individual contributor and technical subject matter expert
- Design, develop, and maintain clean, scalable, and resilient code for complex application components
- Lead development efforts for AI-driven services, particularly those involving GenAI orchestration and LLM integrations
Technical Design & Collaboration
- Partner closely with Principal Engineers to translate high-level architecture into detailed technical designs
- Drive implementation of service-level designs that align with overall platform and architectural strategy
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship through design reviews and code reviews
Generative AI Frameworks & Platforms
- Build, deploy, and maintain sophisticated Generative AI applications using modern orchestration frameworks such as:
- ADK
- LangChain
- LangGraph
- LlamaIndex
- Semantic Kernel
- Integrate and optimize LLMs and AI services for performance, scalability, and reliability
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Develop and deploy applications across multi-cloud and containerized environments, including:
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Microsoft Azure
- OpenShift (OCP) / Kubernetes
- Apply cloud-native design principles for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency
Operational Excellence
- Own the operational health of services built by the team
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance tuning strategies
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement
Engineering Best Practices
- Apply industry best practices including agile development, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure high standards for code quality, security, and maintainability
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade applications
- Strong, hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-driven systems
- Proficiency with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar technologies
- Solid experience designing, developing, and deploying applications on:
- Major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure), and/or
- Container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile methodologies, testing strategies, and CI/CD
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience building internal AI platforms or developer tooling
- Exposure to multi-cloud operational models
- Familiarity with observability tools and SRE practices
- Experience mentoring engineers in a senior or lead IC capacity
