The Role

As an AI Engineer, you'll be foundational in creating the next stage of our product's evolution. At Granum, we measure engineering success by customer outcomes, not just pull requests. You'll join the AI Platforms pod, a team uniquely positioned at the intersection of product innovation and organizational transformation. Your work will be dual-track: fueling the evolution of the customer experience through intelligent features while simultaneously architecting the frameworks that enable AI-driven capabilities across the company.

Outcomes You'll Drive

  • The Agentic Leap: Design and deploy autonomous AI agents that go beyond simple prompts to take action, complete tasks, and operate as a workforce multiplier for our customers.
  • Cross-Pod Enablement: Architect the internal tooling and shared patterns that empower every engineering pod to seamlessly integrate AI into their specific domains and leverage AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Intelligent Integration: Implement and optimize robust LLM orchestration systems using our proprietary industry data to provide the intelligent foundation our product pods draft off of.
  • Technical Excellence: Contribute to the full AI/ML lifecycle, from model evaluation to deployment, ensuring our domain knowledge is protected by high-quality, production-ready features.

We're looking for...

A pragmatic, product-minded engineer who thrives at the nexus of real customer problems and fast-paced engineering.

Required Experience:

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with at least one year building with AI models.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in .NET/C# and Python within an established codebase.
  • Collaborative Enabler: An engineer who excels at translating complex AI concepts into actionable patterns for others and enjoys mentoring cross-functional peers to elevate the entire organization's AI fluency.
  • AI Tooling: Hands-on experience with LLMs like GPT or Claude and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
  • Data Architecture: Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma), embedding techniques, and RAG.
  • Ownership: Proven ability to take complex AI features from ideation to production.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience building AI Agents and autonomous agentic workflows.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex or LaunchDarkly AI Configs.

Compensation:

  • Canada-based candidates: CAD 150,000 - 185,000
  • US-based candidates: USD 160,000 - 200,000
