AI wordt een kernonderdeel van hoe Mediafin informatie maakt, verrijkt en distribueert. Van journalistieke ondersteuning tot slimme research- en producttools: we bouwen krachtige én betrouwbare AI-oplossingen die dagelijks gebruikt worden door redacties en interne teams, maar ook rechtstreeks door onze abonnees.

Daarom zoeken we een AI Engineer die onze (Gen)AI-oplossingen technisch vormgeeft, bouwt en verder industrialiseert.

Over de job

  • AI workflows & agents: Je ontwerpt en implementeert AI-workflows en agentic flows (tools, function calling, orchestration) en integreert die met onze producten, interne systemen en datasets.
  • RAG & context pipelines: Je bouwt en optimaliseert retrieval-pipelines (chunking, embeddings, ranking, context-injectie) om de relevantie van AI in een nieuwscontext te maximaliseren en hallucinaties te beperken.
  • Evaluatie, monitoring & LLMOps: Je zet tracing en evaluatie op (kwaliteit, latency, kosten, fouten) en gebruikt die inzichten om modellen en prompts continu te verbeteren.
  • Betrouwbaarheid & guardrails: Je implementeert safety-mechanismen, fallback-strategieën en waar nodig human-in-the-loop flows.
  • Tooling & technologiekeuzes: Je verkent nieuwe AI-tools en frameworks en helpt beslissen wat we intern bouwen versus integreren.

Jouw profiel

  • Je beschikt over sterke software engineering skills en ervaring met AI-platformen en API-integraties (bv. OpenAI, ElevenLabs, n8n).
  • Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met AI agents en/of workflows, inclusief prompt engineering.
  • Je bent vertrouwd met Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM-tracing en evaluatie.
  • Kennis van multimodale AI (audio, video) is een plus.
  • Je bent een probleemoplosser die rustig blijft in complexe technische omgevingen.
  • Affiniteit met (nieuws)media, research of content-gedreven producten is een plus.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Engels en het Nederlands en/of Frans.
