AI Engineer

Reporting to the Vice President, AI & Technology , you'll work closely with stakeholders and technology teams across Ontic to identify opportunities where AI and automation can simplify processes, improve decision-making and create measurable business value.

You'll design, develop and implement enterprise AI solutions using technologies including Large Language Models, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and UiPath. You'll also develop AI assistants, copilots and automated workflows, integrating AI into systems including ERP, CRM, PLM, SharePoint and Microsoft 365, while ensuring the solutions you deliver are secure, scalable and production-ready.

To be successful in this role, you'll have 5+ years' experience in software engineering, automation or AI development , together with proven experience delivering enterprise AI or Generative AI solutions and building production solutions using ChatGPT/OpenAI APIs.

You'll have strong technical experience across Python, OpenAI APIs, Prompt Engineering, Azure OpenAI Services, Microsoft Copilot Studio, UiPath, Power Automate, REST APIs and RAG architectures , alongside experience integrating technology into enterprise systems. You'll also be a strong communicator who can translate complex AI concepts for non-technical audiences, work effectively with stakeholders and bring a practical, problem-solving approach to emerging technology. Experience within aerospace, engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
