Overview:

Steampunk is seeking an experienced Azure Search AI Interface Developer to design, develop, and maintain AI-powered search solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Cognitive Search, AI/NLP services, and modern application development.

Contributions:

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain search-driven applications using Azure Cognitive Search.
  • Implement AI/ML features like semantic search, natural language understanding, and recommendations.
  • Integrate search capabilities into web or enterprise applications.
  • Optimize indexing, query performance, and search relevance.
  • Work with Azure AI services such as Azure OpenAI, Text Analytics, Language Understanding (LUIS), or Cognitive Services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and data engineers to deliver high-quality search experiences.
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve search metrics and user satisfaction.
  • You will contribute to the growth of our AI & Data Exploitation Practice!

Qualifications:

  • Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government.
  • Bachelors Degree and at least 5 years of experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cognitive Search and related AI services.
  • Proficiency in .NET, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent languages.
  • Experience with data indexing, query optimization, and search analytics.
  • Familiarity with AI/NLP models and integrating them into search solutions.
  • Understanding of cloud architecture, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, semantic search, or large language models.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices in Azure (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience in enterprise-level applications and complex search interfaces.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

About steampunk:

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $190,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
