About the role

Hyper is looking for our first engineer focused on implementing and deploying cutting-edge machine learning research to power the next generation of avatar tools. As our first machine learning focused hire you’ll set the standards for execution and delivery of great ML-powered services and features for our avatar and ai platform.

This is a great role for anyone that loves playing with newly announced models and research. You'll spend time thinking about how it intersects with product, and how it can be used to build great consumer experiences.

About the role

💻 You'll be leading the development and deployment of machine learning services that power our tools and social network. These will range from off-the-shelf hosted models to deploying existing work around 3D, animation, and graphics, LLMs and so-on.

📙 You should have 5+ years of professional experience implementing papers, preparing data, training, building, and deploying machine learning services, or equivalent experience in public personal projects.

📈 You'll be joining a small team focused on a fast growing product.

🌎 Hyper is ~7 people right now and we're fully remote, so great written communication skills are a must.

About Hyper

Hyper's goal is to build the world's best avatar tools.  We're starting with VTubing as our first use-case: avatars that people use to live-stream and make content online. Avatar content (also known as VTubing) has broken into the multi-billion-view-per-month category on places like Twitch and YouTube. This has given a new group of people the power to tell stories and present themselves on their own terms online while also protecting their IRL identities. We're now the #1 US VTubing app on iOS, and have recently released an AI platform to create avatar powered agents.

We're backed by great investors over at Amazon, MakersFund, YCombinator, and more.
