Audio Software Engineer, Applied Scientist
Responsibilities
- check_circle Collaborate in a team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver software solutions
- check_circle Create clean readable code, debug complex problems, prioritize effectively based on impact and urgency and get things done with a high level of efficiency
- check_circle Learn constantly, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of problem solving
- check_circle Develop audio software for a variety of consumer products and devices
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 2+ years of experience
- 3+ years relevant audio software engineering experience in industry settings
- C or C++ experience, including use of C++11/14/17 features
- Experience communicating technical decisions to cross-functional partners and collaborating across disciplines to deliver solutions
Preferred qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience with audio signal processing and auditory perception, both classical and machine learned techniques
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Proven track record of innovation as demonstrated by products shipped, publications and/or patents
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Experience with GenAI
