Course Description: Deep Learning and Advanced AI(AI Program)

Wake Forest University School of Professional Studies is seeking highly qualified candidates to develop and teach the ​Deep Learning and Advanced AI course in the online Master of AI program. The ideal candidate is a professional who understands the theory and practice of ethical and responsible AI, along with recent trends and innovations in the industry.

​This course teaches the foundations of neural networks and deep learning. The course will cover deep neural networks and their applications to various problems. Students will participate in hands-on labs with real-world datasets to enhance practical skills and use prompt engineering to interact with advanced models​: Including topics on GANs, transformers, and other advanced deep learning techniques.

Students meet face-to-face in a virtual classroom environment weekly over an academic term, providing them the opportunity to reinforce coursework materials, apply academic concepts, and participate in focused discussions with faculty and colleagues.

Faculty Qualifications:
• Master's degree in program field or related degree. Terminal degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in university-level teaching. Preferred applicants also will have a demonstrated ability to deliver graduate-level, online course experiences that are valued by industry. With the targeted audience for this program being adult students pursuing career growth, the University seeks to hire colleagues who are highly skilled in and/or highly attuned to adult learning best practices.
• 5+ years industry experience. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and an ability to integrate ethical concepts and broad understandings of diversity.

Compensation for developing a 3.0 credit course= $10,000

Compensation for teaching a 3.0 credit course= $5,000
