Position Overview:

We are seeking a Data Scientist to transform raw data into actionable intelligence. This role sits at the intersection of classical statistics and modern AI, focusing on building end-to-end models within the Azure ecosystem to drive business value.

This is a 3-month contract opportunity at 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Model Development: Build, validate, and deploy statistical and AI models to solve complex business problems.
  • Feature Engineering: Design and refine predictive features, ensuring data quality and model interpretability.
  • Azure Ecosystem: Leverage Azure Machine Learning and Microsoft’s suite of data services to scale model training and deployment.
  • Insight Synthesis: Apply statistical rigor to analyze data trends and communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Foundations: Strong background in Statistics and Data Analytics.
  • Programming: Advanced proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.) and SQL.
  • Environment: Experience navigating the Microsoft Azure data stack (Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Azure ML).
