At Rabobank, you will work on machine learning solutions that directly influence the full lifecycle of business clients. From predicting churn and customer behavior to combining internal and external data for benchmarking and next best product models. Your work does not end in a notebook. It ends in production.
The role
As a Medior Data Scientist or Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you operate across the full machine learning lifecycle. You design, build, optimize and maintain models and data pipelines that are reliable, scalable and responsible.
You thrive at the intersection of data science and engineering. You enjoy going deep into data, improving existing solutions and turning ideas into production ready systems. You work within an end to end Data Science team that values ownership, speed and quality.
Thursday is the fixed office day and once every two weeks you also work on site on Wednesday. The working language is English, both spoken and written.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain and optimize machine learning models in real world use cases.
- Refactor existing code and improve performance and pipeline efficiency.
- Combine and analyze complex internal and external datasets.
- Write production ready code in Python and PySpark.
- Deploy, monitor and tune models in an MLOps and DevOps environment.
- Collaborate closely with IT to bring models safely and reliably into production.
- Clearly explain models, choices and results to technical and non technical stakeholders.
Requirements
What you bring
This is a strict selection. Experience is not optional.
- At least 4 years of hands on experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
- Strong experience with PySpark and Databricks is mandatory.
- Solid knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning, especially tree based and clustering models.
- Proven experience with model deployment, monitoring and performance optimization.
- A hands on mindset and enjoyment of writing clean, production quality code.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Proficiency with Git and CI CD pipelines.
- Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, databases and data lakes.
- A Master degree is preferred. International candidates often meet the requirement with a Bachelor.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Naturally curious, analytical and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
Benefits
Salary indication: € 4.100,00 - € 6.125,00.
Contract: A contract for at least six months.
Extra: A 13th month and pension contribution.
