How you’ll help:

  • Fit and assess predictive models leveraging geospatial data sources in R or Python.
  • Explore and analyze client-provided assets and reliability data sets.
  • Collaborate with a broader data science and engineering team to take projects and products from inception to client delivery.

You’ll be a full-time member of the E Source Data Science team. Our data science positions appeal to self-starters who welcome and excel in team-based, collaborative projects from conception to end-user handoff, providing excellent customer experience throughout. The ability to simplify complex analyses into understandable concepts that are applicable to management and operations staff is highly desired.

What will make you a great fit:

Required qualifications:

  • Education: MS or PhD in Engineering, Math, Statistics, or similar field of study.
  • Experience:
  • MS + 1 year professional experience conducting data science projects in industry or applied research – analytical design, managing schedule and communicating results to stakeholders or
  • PhD with applied research in above mentioned fields of study.
  • Hands on experience cleaning, joining, and analyzing real-world data sets using predictive models (statistical, machine learning) in R and/or Python.
  • Experience working as part of a larger data science team, collaborating with technical or non-technical peers, and presenting interpretable results to stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Domain expertise in the electric utility space
  • Domain expertise in geospatial analytics or using remotely sensed weather observations
  • Experience leading and overseeing the work of data analysists or data scientists within a team

We are hiring between Levels II-IV for this position.

The budgeted salary for this position is:

$90,000 to $145,000 USD + annual bonus.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

This role will be 100% remote, with infrequent travel (generally 1-2 times per year).
