Position Description: Nodi Solutions has the opportunity to make a contingent hire for a contract. Nodi Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to work with our Washington DC-based Government clients to apply data analysis solutions to enable data-driven decisions and measure success in support of strategic goals and priorities. The goal is to support strategic decision-making processes, measure the performance of business units and portfolios, and improve data management across an organization.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Develop recurring analytics deliverables on time each month, and also supporting urgent ad hoc leadership requests
  • Support development of data automation and modernization processes
  • Design, operate, monitor, and maintain Databricks pipelines that support recurring datasets
  • Apply Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML), predictive, and/or prescriptive analytics to support organization mission or operational needs
  • Develop, validate, and maintain Power BI dashboards and geospatial analytics products
  • Perform data ingestion, transformation, governance, security, and analytics output generation to integrate Palantir (or an equivalent AI platform) into analytics ecosystem to deliver dashboards, analytical products, and AI-enabled insights

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to pass a background investigation
  • Bachelors degree
  • 8 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, statistical modeling, or applied machine learning in enterprise or large-scale environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, including use of scientific computing and modeling libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering, distributed processing, feature engineering, and model development
  • Experience working with large, complex, structured and semi-structured datasets in cloud-based or enterprise data platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to design, validate, document, and defend analytical methodologies, assumptions, model performance, and results
  • Development of predictive, descriptive, diagnostic, and prescriptive models, including forecasting, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection
  • Experience leveraging LLMs and AI techniques for natural language processing, automation, and decision-support use cases
  • Proficiency in data curation, transformation, and pipeline development using Python within modern IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio Code, PyCharm)
  • Experience using DevOps/Git-based repositories for version control, CI/CD workflows, code review, and production deployment
  • Ability to engineer scalable data workflows using Spark, Databricks notebooks, and cloud-native compute environments
  • Strong experience working with relational databases and data warehousing technologies using SQL and optimized query patterns
  • Experience delivering analytical insights using Power BI, Python visualization libraries, and interactive dashboards
  • Experience with geospatial analytics and visualization using ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, or similar platforms
  • Ability to translate technical findings into clear, executive-level insights and decision-ready outputs
  • Exposure to MLOps practices, model monitoring, retraining pipelines, and governance
  • Experience contributing to enterprise analytics ecosystems integrating Databricks, BI platforms, and AI/ML workflows
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with time management skills, as well as function in a team environment
  • Ability to complete high-quality, detail-oriented deliverables amid competing deadlines
  • Ability to exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and tact in obtaining and analyzing information related to projects
  • Ability to represent Nodi Solutions in meetings with clients to resolve complex issues and to plan and coordinate work

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Experience performing analysis of data related to the telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of the public safety community (e.g., law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services
