This role is a high-impact position focused on transforming complex datasets into actionable intelligence to support cybersecurity and IT risk management initiatives. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide strategic and technical guidance, uncover insights through advanced analytics, and implement innovative solutions that enhance operational performance. The role involves leveraging machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools to detect and mitigate threats, automate processes, and support executive decision-making. Ideal candidates are highly analytical, skilled in Python and PowerBI, and able to communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to critical projects with federal clients in a hybrid work environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical and management leadership on major analytics and technology tasks
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, IT teams, and data stewards to turn data into actionable insights
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple sources
  • Apply advanced data mining, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to uncover patterns and insights
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and operational analytics, including dashboard development, visualization, and reporting
  • Automate data collection from SIEM tools, case management systems, and internal databases
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of operational issues and provide actionable recommendations
  • Train senior executives and teams on self-service dashboards and analytical tools
  • Develop documentation for analytics work products, data models, and testing/distribution processes
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary, fast-paced projects focused on delivering measurable outcomes for clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, cybersecurity, or IT risk management
  • Hands-on experience with Python, MS PowerBI, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project)
  • Experience in a Lean-Agile environment with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and strategic/tactical critical thinking
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; experience briefing senior leadership
  • Desired: Linux, IP networks, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, Splunk, Spark, Hadoop, real-time algorithm development, SOC metrics familiarity, and Six Sigma or operational excellence experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance required
