Lockheed Martin Procerus Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Autonomy, Artificial Intelligence, and/or Machine Learning to join our engineering team. We are a multi-disciplinary group with mechanical, electrical, software and systems expertise. We develop new products and solutions along with supporting our current tactical small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) product line. We are looking for a candidate who desires to be an integral part of contributing to and expanding our portfolio.


The engineer will be a member of a team engaged in the design of tactical sUAS and related accessories, working closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers. They will specifically be responsible for developing, integrating, and deploying software and firmware to run on sUAS, accessories, and control devices. They will contribute to quality and reliability by participating in peer reviews, creating documentation, anticipating and addressing potential issues, and supporting our onsite production team. They may also have the opportunity to lead project efforts and represent the organization as technical contact for projects and contracts.


In addition to functioning as an individual contributor, the engineer will be expected to assist in mentoring and training team members and advising them on technical matters.


The candidate should have the ability to develop efficient, functional, and reliable code. They should have experience writing embedded firmware for microcontrollers. They should be able to apply relevant theory to the development process and have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues. Finally, they should have a can-do attitude, enjoy challenges, and desire to develop an excellent product.


Occasional travel may be required.
