Smart Assistant is a suite of GenAI applications for document & data inquiry, leveraging cutting-edge AI to revolutionize how Finance interact with their data. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI to join our team in Tampa, Florida, and play a key role in the continued development of our Finance Smart Assistant.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for the Finance Smart Assistant, building upon existing foundations.
  • Lead the integration of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to enhance the accuracy and context-awareness of our AI systems.
  • Develop and refine Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions, leveraging expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning.
  • Utilize table transformers and other advanced Python packages for extracting and processing complex financial data.
  • Work end-to-end on GenAI solutions, from data preprocessing and model development to deployment and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI solutions into existing workflows.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GenAI and contribute to our ongoing AI innovation efforts.
  • Communicate technical concepts and findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Sciences or related field
  • Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying Generative AI solutions in real-world settings.
  • Deep understanding of:
  • Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications
  • Transformer models (e.g., BERT, GPT)
  • Agentic AI understanding
  • Prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques
  • Vector databases and similarity search
  • LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar frameworks for building GenAI applications
  • Model evaluation metrics for GenAI
  • MLOps principles and practices for deploying and managing AI models
  • Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end AI project development and deployment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal coursework or certifications in Data Science.
  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Contributions to open-source AI projects.
