Position Overview:

As part of Enterprise Services – Data & AI, the Generative AI Engineer designs and delivers AI-powered applications that drive productivity and decision-making across the enterprise. This hands-on role focuses on building reusable components, autonomous workflows, and multi-agent systems that create measurable business impact—securely and at scale.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and deploy AI applications leveraging LLMs and agentic frameworks for complex, multi-step workflows.
  • Design orchestration, tool-use, and memory systems enabling safe, autonomous AI operation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to develop AI copilots and digital assistants for engineering and operations.
  • Create reusable SDKs, documentation, and demos to accelerate enterprise adoption.
  • Collaborate with platform and MLOps teams to ensure scalability, governance, and security.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Strong development skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience with LLM & agentic frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, n8n) and workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of vector search (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search).
  • Experience integrating cloud AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI, Bedrock).

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience deploying AI agents for real-world business use cases.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, contextual retrieval, and reflective agent design.
  • Familiarity with secure API development and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Work Location

This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside within commuting distance from Farmington, CT, additional locations will be considered MA, TX, IA, CA

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
