Role: Sr. Applied AI Engineer/ Generative AI Engineer - W2/ 1099 role

Location: Irvine, CA

Contract: 12+ Months Contract

We are seeking a hands-on Applied AI Engineer to design and deploy real-world AI solutions for automotive applications.

This role focuses on building LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, intelligent multi-agent systems, and full-stack AI workflows from prototype to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy LLM-based applications, RAG systems, and agentic workflows
  • Build full-stack AI solutions (frontend + backend + cloud)
  • Rapidly prototype PoCs/MVPs and optimize model performance
  • Implement vector databases and embedding-based retrieval
  • Integrate AI models into cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • Ensure governance, security, and MLOps best practices

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience (3+ years in AI/ML)
  • Strong Python and AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
  • Experience with LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar
  • Expertise in RAG, prompt engineering, vector DBs (Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB)
  • Cloud AI experience (AWS SageMaker/Bedrock or Azure OpenAI)
  • Full-stack development experience (React, APIs, Docker, Kubernetes)
