The Apple Cellular Protocol Software (CPS) team is actively looking for an intern to learn and grow in our Software development team. Join us and be part of the team that powers the working productivity and efficiency of Apple software development!

Description

This Internship position provides prospective candidates an opportunity to get hands on experience working with the Apple cellular software development and verification teams at Apple. Team offering this internship position is responsible to develop cellular modem software and firmware for current and next generation communication protocols. You, under guidance of your mentor, and with knowledge of LTE/NR physical layer protocols, programming using C/C++/Python and Machine Learning, will be expected to enhance the current performance of certain features, and/or help on introducing new features. as well as explore applications of generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to build intelligent tools that accelerate our engineering workflows, from log analysis to code generation. At the end of internship, you will be provided an opportunity to present to Wireless Technologies & ecosystem leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Good experience with Python

Familiarity with data analysis for AIML.

Familiarity with physical layer (L1) concepts in cellular systems.

Excellent software development and debugging skills including design, programming (C, C++, script) and debugging.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Masters or higher degree in Computer Science or Electronics & Communication.

Proven knowledge of current cellular communication standards: 5G (NR) and 4G (LTE).
