THE OPPORTUNITY


Our client provides supply chain solutions for many of the world’s leading companies.  This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team designing, building, and launching a supply chain visibility application that will shift and shape customer expectations for the next decade and beyond.  


Job Summary 


As part of a dedicated development team, you will work closely with the Strategy Team’s technical and product development staff as well as new and established technology providers, developers, architects and other experts on activities such as application development, DevOps, cloud deployment, and database integration. You must be able to work independently and be eager to stretch your capabilities toward new technologies and business domains.


This role requires 7+ years of data engineering experience with extensive experience in establishing and maintaining data pipelines and database setup.


Skills and Experience Required


DESIRED SKILLS  /  QUALIFICATIONS




  • BS or BA in Computer Science; or comparable work experience




  • 7+ years of professional software development experience




  • 5+ years in professional setting routinely performing analysis and design using object-oriented techniques. Expert working with backend code (Java/Spring) to write the business logic, database queries, and APIs.  Experience with Spring Boot a plus.




  • 5+ years' experience in programming with Java in professional setting




  • 7+ years' professional experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORMs in enterprise applications




  • Experience writing unit test cases using JUnit or similar tools.




  • Experience working on a distributed system, fixing memory/performance issues, etc.




  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, system level programming (including multi-threaded programming), and complexity analysis




  • Demonstrated long-term experience supporting enterprise systems




  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies




  • Experience implementing REST services security using JWT, OAuth, and other related technologies / standards




  • Experience implementing REST services supporting client-facing applications




  • Capable of building, and can demonstrate a history of developing, your own solutions to fix complex issues
