Brooksource's Fortune 200 digital banking partner is looking for Junior AI Engineers to support AI-driven initiatives across their enterprise contact center. The team builds and maintains intelligent systems that enhance the agent experience, streamline workflows, and power emerging AI-assisted capabilities. This team works across agent-facing tools, backend services, LLM-powered applications, in-house models, web extensions, and API development to support real-time and post-call operations.

As the organization expands, we are adding a Junior AI Engineer to support new AI projects, model development, backend engineering, and cloud-based services. This role offers the opportunity to learn from highly experienced engineers, work in an Agile environment, and contribute to next-generation agent-assist capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to AI-driven projects within the C3 Space, supporting agent-focused applications including call summaries, AgentAssist tools, and AI-driven extensions.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on Python-based development, including multithreading, backend logic, and model-driven workflows.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and optimizing in-house AI/ML models, alongside large language model (LLM) integrations.
  • Support web-based initiatives including front-end extensions, internal tools, browser-based (Wixy) interfaces, and supporting APIs.
  • Participate in backend development using modern engineering practices to support Strata and other contact-center platforms.
  • Work with cloud-based infrastructure across any major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with engineers across multiple squads as the team scales into two dedicated groups.
  • Learn, iterate, and quickly ramp up on new tools, languages, and AI frameworks within a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Programming: Strong proficiency in Python (must-have).
  • Additional Languages: Exposure to or experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • AI/ML Interest: Academic, personal, or project-based experience in AI, ML, generative AI, or data science.
  • Backend Foundations: Understanding of backend development concepts; hands-on experience building backend systems is a strong plus.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • API Fundamentals: Ability to work with RESTful APIs and modern integration patterns.
  • Collaboration: Strong attitude, aptitude, willingness to learn, and desire to grow rapidly in a fast-moving AI environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with multithreading in Python.
  • Exposure to intelligent automation or business process automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and DevOps pipelines.
  • Experience building small applications, browser extensions, or web-based tools.
  • Academic or personal projects showcasing AI/ML or backend engineering skills.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Have strong curiosity and self-driven learning habits
  • Demonstrate aptitude in Python and AI fundamentals
  • Want exposure to end-to-end AI product engineering
  • Learn quickly and are excited to contribute to an evolving, highly technical team
  • The team values attitude, effort, and problem-solving ability just as much as professional experience.
