1. Junior AI Engineer – USA (Remote)

Role: Junior AI Engineer

Location: USA Remote

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated Junior AI Engineer to join our AI & ML team. You’ll assist

in developing and deploying AI-powered features, support prompt engineering and RAG

workflows, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to bring generative-AI

capabilities into real products.

This is a role designed for candidates with up to 12 months of professional experience,

strong hands-on project or internship work, and a keen appetite to grow quickly in an AI-

first environment.

Key Responsibilities

 Assist in building AI features: use Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.),

vector embedding pipelines.

 Support prompt engineering and RAG workflows: design, test, iterate prompt

templates, integrate vector search.

 Help build and maintain AI-model monitoring/observability dashboards: track

model accuracy, latency, drift.

 Work with backend engineers to integrate AI services into product flows

(FastAPI/Flask, microservices).

 Participate in experimenting with AI workflows: multi-agent orchestration, model

fine-tuning, system prompts.

 Document learnings, best practices, and collaborate across UI/UX, data, and

engineering teams.

Qualifications (Required)

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or

equivalent.

 Up to 12 months of experience including internships, academic projects, or part-

time roles in AI, ML, or software engineering.

 Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML/AI libraries (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-

learn, Hugging Face).

 Basic understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, vector databases, or RAG

concepts.

 Strong communication skills, curiosity, and ability to work in a fast-paced,

ambiguous environment.

Preferred Skills

 Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or other LLM-orchestration libraries.

 Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure and containerisation (Docker).

 Built a public portfolio (GitHub/Colab) showing AI/LLM work (chatbots,

embeddings, prompt tasks).

 Experience with frontend/backend integration (API design, FastAPI/Flask).

Why Join Us

 Early-stage AI product team where you’ll learn rapidly and take ownership.

 Access to GPU/AI resources, training budget, mentorship from senior AI

engineers.

Quick answers about how DevFound's AI matching, resumes, and referrals work.

DevFound's AI Copilot ingests your profile, goals, and live job data to deliver curated matches in seconds. Every match includes a resume variant, suggested referrals, and interview prep so you can act immediately. The more feedback you provide, the sharper the Copilot becomes.

AI-led job searches shrink the hours spent sifting through boards and formatting resumes. DevFound pairs automation with your personal outreach, so you reserve energy for interviews and negotiation. Traditional networking still matters, but AI gives you a lift before you even send a message.

Modern AI roles expect comfort with production-grade code, data fluency, and practical ML tooling. The strongest candidates pair deep technical chops with storytelling—translating model impact to product, GTM, and exec partners. Continuous learning keeps you ahead as stacks evolve.

DevFound rewards active seekers. Keep your profile fresh, respond to match quality prompts, and enable alerts so you never miss a role. The AI prioritizes companies and teams that align with your feedback, accelerating both introductions and interview invites.

High-density tech hubs continue to host the deepest AI talent pools, yet distributed teams are catching up fast. Use DevFound filters to hone in on onsite, hybrid, or fully remote roles and watch openings expand across time zones.

DevFound aggregates thousands of remote AI openings and flags the nuances—core hours, async culture, and visa needs—up front. The Copilot also recommends how to position your distributed work experience so hiring managers know you can thrive on a remote team.
