Actively hiring Posted 5 months ago

Hello and welcome to start your next journey with Sellforte!

We are a fast-growing team of exceptionally talented individuals on a mission to enable marketers to accelerate their growth through smarter, data-driven decisions. Sellforte is a Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) SaaS solution designed for marketing teams to holistically evaluate and optimise the effectiveness of their marketing and promotional activities. We don’t just deliver cool marketing metrics or fancy dashboards – we deliver real impact, leveraging Bayesian methods and cutting-edge data science.

At Sellforte, you’ll be part of a collaborative and innovative team. Our roughly fifteen data scientists form the backbone of our entire business. Together, we ambitiously tackle critical business problems, develop high-quality code and automation, and deliver an unmatched end-user experience.

What you will do as a Junior Data Scientist (Summer trainee):

As a Junior Data Scientist (Summer trainee), you will gain hands-on experience in both product development and customer delivery. Your tasks may vary from week to week, allowing you to explore different facets of data science work. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Explore and Analyse Data: Conduct exploratory data analysis with customer data (using tools like Python and pandas) to solve customer-specific issues and business problems.
  • Customer Onboarding: Assist in onboarding new customers to our marketing analytics platform, including setting up data flows between customers and Sellforte.
  • Product Development: Contribute to product improvements by sharing insights and learnings, developing new features, and enhancing automation.
  • Collaborative Model Building: Work closely with data scientists and engineers to implement and train predictive machine learning models, such as time series forecasting and Bayesian models, to infer causal impacts statistically.

What we hope from you:

  • Interest in Startups and Data Science: You are excited about the dynamic startup environment and have a passion for data science.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to effectively explain insights and technical concepts.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled at identifying and solving business problems through data analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Python and its data science libraries.
  • Positive Attitude: A proactive, can-do mindset and the ability to get things done.

What we offer you:

  • Flexible Internship: Temporary position from June to August, with adaptable starting and ending dates.
  • Future Opportunities: Possibility to continue part-time or full-time after summer, depending on mutual interest and company needs.
  • Paid Time Off: At least one week of paid time off during the summer.
  • Competitive Compensation: Aligned with TEK salary recommendations.
  • Cutting-Edge Product: Work on a globally unique product developed with modern technologies.
  • Flat Hierarchy: Ideas and innovation win over titles and authority.
  • Smart Work Practices: We prioritise working smart over working hard.
  • Growth Opportunities: We support both business and personal development.
  • Flexibility to find the work-life balance that suits you: While our culture supports both remote and in-office work, we do prefer that you spend part of your week at the office to collaborate, connect, and build things together, especially at the start. Many of us enjoy the energy of working on-site, though we still offer flexibility for remote work when needed — and your preferences are always taken into account.

How to apply:

If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you!

Our recruitment process is designed to be transparent and collaborative. It includes:

  • An intro call with one of our Customer Data Scientists,
  • A short take-home problem solving exercise,
  • An in-office hands-on technical data science case exercise at our office in Espoo.

Apply by January 31st using the form on this page.

We hope that you are already based in Finland since we are unable to do relocations for summer internships.

If you have any questions, reach out to our Customer Data Scientist Oscar Björklund at [email protected].

We look forward to hearing from you!

Modern AI roles expect comfort with production-grade code, data fluency, and practical ML tooling. The strongest candidates pair deep technical chops with storytelling—translating model impact to product, GTM, and exec partners. Continuous learning keeps you ahead as stacks evolve.

DevFound rewards active seekers. Keep your profile fresh, respond to match quality prompts, and enable alerts so you never miss a role. The AI prioritizes companies and teams that align with your feedback, accelerating both introductions and interview invites.

High-density tech hubs continue to host the deepest AI talent pools, yet distributed teams are catching up fast. Use DevFound filters to hone in on onsite, hybrid, or fully remote roles and watch openings expand across time zones.

DevFound aggregates thousands of remote AI openings and flags the nuances—core hours, async culture, and visa needs—up front. The Copilot also recommends how to position your distributed work experience so hiring managers know you can thrive on a remote team.
