Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Scientist to support our Fraud, Financial Crime, and Compliance Risk initiatives. This role spans the full data science lifecycle—from data extraction and exploratory analysis to model development, deployment, and stakeholder communication. You will collaborate with Product, Sales, and Engineering teams, contributing to real-world solutions and customer demos.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply machine learning, statistical, and mathematical techniques to solve business challenges
  • Extract and analyze data from multiple sources; create visualizations and insights
  • Propose strategies and solutions to business problems
  • Manage multiple data science projects and coordinate model deployment with developers/QA
  • Research new technologies, tools, and methods for innovation
  • Represent Eastnets externally at webinars and conferences
  • Maintain information security and comply with company policies

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in STEM; MBA or data science certifications are a plus
  • Strong programming skills in Python or other mainstream data science languages
  • Knowledge of supervised learning, clustering, forecasting, NLP, and time series analysis
  • Experience with machine learning techniques such as regression, neural networks, SVM, social network analysis
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience in financial services, fraud detection, or compliance solutions is advantageous
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills; adaptable and agile
