To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, Qualcomm XR team in Europe is rapidly expanding and seeking candidates to investigate and develop the fundamental perception systems enabling self-contained XR platforms. We look for innovators who will push the boundaries of mobile perception technology to offer a comprehensive platform to our customers.

Job Description / Responsibilities

Candidates bring a deep understanding of engineering pipelines and solutions of computer vision and machine learning algorithms and technologies that are necessary building blocks of interactive, real-time, and immersive systems, including 3 D scene understanding, human pose tracking, sensor fusion and mathematical optimization. They also preferably have experience in systems design and implementations for real-time embedded and mobile platforms.

Key Experience Areas

  • Solid background in 3D computer vision, including reconstruction and geometry fundamentals.

  • Experience with segmentation, human detection, and 2D/3D pose methods for real - time applications.

  • Hands - on development of deep learning models ( PyTorch /TensorFlow) and practical ML pipelines.

  • Familiarity with multi modal vision - language models and applying them to perception tasks.

  • Strong coding skills in Python and C++ for production and on - device implementation.

  • Experience with on - device optimization (quantization, acceleration, profiling) on mobile or embedded platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Augmented/Virtual Reality devices and applications

  • Experience in development, incl. testing and debugging on XR devices, mobile platforms or other embedded systems

  • Experience in DSP optimizations

  • Excellent C++ and object-oriented programming

  • Real-time Computer graphics

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
