We collaborate with various teams at Apple to deploy these innovative solutions to our products.DescriptionAs a member of the team you will be responsible for researching and developing innovative ML solutions for challenging problems that will meaningfully affect how users interact with Siri on Apple products. You will be looking at the user experience we want to deliver, define the optimization metrics and propose solutions to achieve the goal. You will bring these innovations to life by working collaboratively with partner teams to take them all the way to production. You are self-motivated, excellent problem solver with strong execution. You are good at building relationships and work well with change and ambiguity. You have strong programming skills with tried experience prototyping and converting ideas into reality.Minimum Qualifications
Passionate about building extraordinary products
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
Excellent programming and debugging skills
In-depth expertise in developing machine learning models
Expertise in common ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)

Preferred Qualifications
PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
Proven industry experience in building ML-based production features
Experience in optimizing machine learning models for efficient inference on device
Industry experience in implementing and training multimodal LLM or VLM
Expertise in one or more of computer vision, audio signal processing and motion signal processing

Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
