We’re proud to share our story and Make Amazing Happen at CDW.

As a Marketing Data Scientist (Gen AI), you will advance CDW’s data-driven marketing strategy by developing AI-powered solutions that uncover insights, automate analytics, and enhance decision-making across the marketing teams. Partnering with marketing, digital, and data engineering teams, you will design scalable data and AI models, integrate Generative AI into campaign intelligence, and operationalize insights through automation and visualization. Leveraging tools such as Python, SQL, LangChain, VertexAI, and OpenAI APIs, you will optimize attribution, customer engagement, and marketing performance. This role requires a strong mix of technical depth, analytical storytelling, and innovation mindset to scale Generative AI across CDW’s marketing analytics framework and drive measurable business impact.

What you will do:

  • Advanced SQL & Data Wrangling: Build complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze marketing and performance data from multiple sources.
  • Python Automation & APIs: Develop Python-based automation and scalable FastAPI endpoints to detect anomalies, trends, and performance shifts in key metrics.
  • Marketing Analytics: Build Marketing Attribution Models, leveraging AI-driven methods to measure and optimize ROI.
  • Generative AI Development: Build GenAI solutions for summarization, search, and data synthesis using LangChain, VertexAI, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) and MS Fabric Agents.
  • Prompt Engineering & Optimization: Design, test, and refine prompts to maximize the accuracy, creativity, and reliability of LLM-based marketing analytics and automation workflows.
  • LLM Fine-Tuning & Evaluation: Fine-tune and evaluate large language models (e.g., GPT, LLaMA, Mistral) using automated evaluation pipelines, human feedback, and LLM-as-a-judge approaches.
  • AI Agents & RAG Systems: Develop multi-agent frameworks and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using interoperable standards such as MCP, enabling scalable analytics and decision workflows.
  • Prototyping & Model Innovation: Rapidly prototype multi-agent and LLM-integrated applications using LangChain, MCP, and Fabric’s Agent Framework, enabling scalable and explainable marketing intelligence solutions.
  • Cloud & Data Architecture: Design and maintain scalable data architectures across cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring security, compliance, and performance for AI workloads.
  • Continuous Research & Collaboration: Stay at the forefront of GenAI innovation, partner with marketing and engineering teams, and drive adoption of emerging foundation models and AI tools across CDW.

What we expect of you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field and 1+ years of experience in marketing analytics, data science, or AI automation. OR
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field and a previous internship.
  • Strong skills in SQL and Python for analytics and automation.
  • Experience with Generative AI tools (LangChain, VertexAI, OpenAI, Hugging Face, MCP).
  • Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, and evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, GA4, Power BI, and Tag Management tools.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and innovation mindset.
