SUMMARY

Evaluate and quantify the performance of operating project in Terra-Gen portfolio. Projects include Wind, PV, BESS, and PV+BESS hybrid plants. Build and utilize tools to assess and report on plant performance on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis. Interface with Operations, Asset Management, Finance, and Development teams and work with vendors to solve engineering problems related to performance. **Primary consideration for candidates with BESS experience analyzing EMS and BMS level data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** (Other duties may be assigned as needed)

  • Develop and implement tools/models to evaluate, monitor, and report on performance KPI’s across the Terra-Gen portfolio
  • Oversee the resolution process to correct performance engineering issues, including working with vendors, Utilities, ISO’s, and contractors.
  • Support Terra-Gen O&M teams, providing actionable items and gathering feedback from the field.
  • Work closely with Terra-Gen development and engineering teams, incorporating lessons learned to the design phase of new projects.
  • Technical due diligence for key projects in the pipeline.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Engineering oriented degree with 5-10+ years of experience in performance engineering, asset management, or resource assessment of renewable energy projects. Familiarity with various 3rd party SCADA systems and direct experience working with and managing large sets of raw SCADA data. Ability to independently undertake advance modelling across multiple applications (Excel, Python, SQL, etc).

Work is primarily office/computer tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily office work with occasional site visits.

The posted compensation is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future, depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
