What is OCI Developer and Operations platform?

The OCI Developer and Operations platform is constructing a robust suite of products and services aimed at supporting and enhancing the developer experience and monitoring and operational capabilities of OCI services. This group provides a comprehensive set of tools and technologies to ensure efficient and effective management of OCI's operations.

By developing these products, the group aims to empower OCI services with the necessary resources to excel in their operational roles, ultimately contributing to the overall success and reliability of OCI's offerings. This initiative is a strategic step towards strengthening OCI's position in the market by prioritizing service performance and customer satisfaction.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for AI Engineer that can design, develop, configure, evaluate, monitor and optimize generative AI and agent solutions, as well as develop innovative solutions to advance OCI's operational capabilities and effectiveness. You should have experience with design of major features and launching them into production. You’ve operated high-scale services and understand how to make them more resilient. You work on most projects and tasks independently. You have experience working with services that require you to abide by security, compliance and regulations.

The ideal candidate will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems, as well as design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

  • 7+ Years of industry experience in software engineering
  • 5+ years experience with React, Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
  • 5+ years experience building and integrating with RESTful APIs
  • Solid CS fundamentals – (algorithms, data structures, distributed systems) and history of creating Javascript/TypeScript web applications
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
  • Experience with ES6/ES6+
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX fundamentals
  • Experience with other languages including Java, Python, or C#.
  • Experience with functional programming concepts
  • Experience with cloud platforms
  • Evaluate and optimize GenAI solutions (including RAG and agents).
  • Provide analysis and reporting of AI quality and business value, as well as auditing (e.g. bias, prompt injection, guardrails) for customers.
  • Develop methods and tools to evaluate, improve, extend, and measure ROI of Oracle AI solutions.
  • Design and develop custom AI solutions to optimize and generate efficiencies for business operations.
  • Help monetize AI capabilities as managed services.
  • Support internal standardization and uptake of generative AI code assist tools.
  • Self-driven, able to take ownership of the complex features, and support junior engineers to deliver results on time
  • Strong communication skills, including cross-team collaboration
