The Program Management Office (PMO) at Zoox supports some of the company's most complex, cross-functional decisions and programs. PMO is responsible for developing & executing the company’s roadmap. When needed, members of the PMO will roll up their sleeves and work hand in hand with cross functional stakeholders across engineering, operations, safety, comms & marketing, legal, regulatory affairs, etc  to solve issues that arise.

In this Role, You Will...

    • Drive the design and implementation of cutting-edge engineering processes and tools to accelerate the development of autonomous vehicle systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and product teams and facilitate cross-functional alignment through effective communication channels and regular stakeholder engagement.
    • Create and maintain execution reporting frameworks to track program progress, milestones, and key performance indicators.
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program performance

Requirements

    • Currently working towards a B.S., M.S., MBA or advanced degree in a relevant engineering program
    • Good academic standing
    • Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026.
    • 1-2 semesters of project-based courses with previous experience in program management, systems engineering, or as an engineer in a complex technical system
    • Can commit to a 12-week internship
    • Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
    • Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox

Qualifications

    • Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional technical projects
    • Experience implementing engineering processes, especially using tools available in the Atlassian suite, Looker, or similar
    • Excellent project & program management and organizational skills
    • Ability to focus on the big picture and provide clear, concise communication tailored to the audience
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Bonus Qualifications

    • At least one previous industry internship or co-op completed in a relevant area
    • Experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics industry preferred
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
