  • HOURLY RANGE: Our client is looking to pay $75-$100h
  • ESTIMATED DURATION: 40h/week - long-term, ongoing project 

THE OPPORTUNITY

Projects differ but generally involve one or more of: heavy Python and database (SQL and noSQL) engineering; data manipulation and wrangling; statistical modeling; NLP; and/or predictive modeling using non-parametric methods. Current clients include multiple public companies; hedge and private equity funds; and companies from the technology, construction, and other industries.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a software engineering role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and architectural patterns
  • Well versed in database technologies such as SQL and Elasticsearch
  • Understanding of building back-end, server-less infrastructure using AWS offerings such as Aurora, Lambda, Glue, RDS and S3
  • Native to excellent English communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Data science, AI or ML, experience and/or a desire to learn
  • Industry experience in the finance, technology, defense, or energy sectors
