Details for the position are as follows:

  • 12-month contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion depending on performance and business needs
  • Rate: $57 an hour
  • Location: Foster City, CA -100% onsite

Job Description:

  • Independently design and execute in vitro and in vivo immunological assays, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation to support drug candidate initiation and advancement.
  • Develop, optimize, and implement cell-based functional assays to assess immune responses in human and animal models.
  • Perform and optimize primary T cell-based assays, including activation, proliferation, and cytotoxicity.
  • Conduct studies using whole blood, PBMCs, and primary immune cell subsets.
  • Apply expertise in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, and immunological techniques.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and develop new assays to accelerate early-stage discovery and deepen understanding of disease biology.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate cross-functionally with oncology, protein engineering, chemistry, translational medicine, biomarker, and clinical teams.
  • Present research findings to senior staff and contribute to research reports, manuscripts, IND submissions, and patent filings.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of experimental design, execution, and data analysis.

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, in Immunology, Immuno-Oncology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline (industry or academic setting).
  • Strong background in immunology, immuno-oncology, or fibrosis biology.
  • Direct experience in drug discovery and target identification/validation, preferably in oncology or immuno-oncology.
  • Solid understanding of core immunology principles:
  • Experience with: Multi-color flow cytometry, Western blot, ELISA, Luminex, MSD, CRISPR technology, Mammalian cell culture
