Responsibilities:
- Incubate foundation techniques for AGI, including new model structure, optimization techniques and distributed learning algorithms;
- Incubate game-changing Al applications which will create huge potential business impact;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve unique product problems;
- Communicate technical concepts clearly in team discussions and presentations for technical and nontechnical audiences;
- Foster growth in the Al research community by contributing to research papers for conferences and journals;
- Receive mentorship and provide insights drive innovation with experienced researchers and team members;
- Train Large Language models for edge usage;
- Optimize model efficiency on distribute system;
- Prepare high quality data for model improvement;
- Build AI-first application on ZOOM workload; and
- Build foundation models for ZOOM workload.
What we're looking for:
- Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent;
- Must have 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupation;
- Must have 1 year of experience in utilizing Python programming to prepare training data, create new model structure, and algorithms;
- Must have 1 year of experience in utilizing Pytorch to train and optimize our model with our collected data;
- Must have 1 year of experience in utilizing CUDA and quantization to optimize both training and inference;
- Must have 1 year of experience in transformers, training, inference, improving model structure;
- Must have 1 year of experience in distributed System, debugging, optimization;
- Must have 1 year of experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP);
- Must have 1 year of experience in Language Model, improving model efficiency, inference performance, improving accuracy of the model;
- Must have 1 year of experience in GPT/LLM prompt; and
- Must have 1 year of experience in data augmentation for model training.
- Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Position does not require domestic or international travel.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$220,000.00
Maximum:
$255,400.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.
Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
