NVIDIA’s Silicon Co-Design Group – Efficiency (SCGE) team is seeking a Senior AI/LLM Engineer to innovate, develop, and integrate advanced AI technologies into our design and automation infrastructure. In this role, you will architect and implement solutions that improve the efficiency, scalability, and intelligence of our workflows. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise with practical, hands-on experience, driving every stage of AI solution planning, design, and implementation. What you'll be doing:

  • Designing and implementing AI/LLM-powered systems to improve automation, design verification, and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborating with multi-functional engineering teams to find opportunities for AI integration and performance optimization.
  • Developing and fine-tuning large language models tailored to semiconductor design and productivity applications.
  • Evaluating new frameworks, architectures, and tools to improve efficiencies powered by artificial intelligence across the organization.
  • Tracking and measuring AI impact using data-driven metrics to continuously refine solutions.

What we need to see:

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) and 8+ years of development experience, with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML, LLMs, or generative AI.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Proven track record of deploying scalable AI/ML models in production.
  • Ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ways to Standout from the crowd:

  • Experience with EDA, semiconductor workflows, or design automation systems.
  • Publications or open-source contributions demonstrating deep expertise in LLMs or AI infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with multimodal or reinforcement learning applications.
  • Ability to translate innovative AI research into practical, high-impact production tools.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.
