Senior AI Engineer Subcontractor | Ukraine
Role overview
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong software engineering expertise and hands-on experience in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
Responsibilities
- check_circle Translate business needs into technical designs and high-quality code
- check_circle Contribute to architecture, development, testing, integration, deployment, and production support
- check_circle Build solutions using LLMs, AI agents, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation
- check_circle Create prototypes to validate technical ideas and customer value
- check_circle Ensure the scalability, security, quality, and maintainability of solutions
- check_circle Apply Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native engineering practices
- check_circle Review code, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical standards
- check_circle Collaborate with product, engineering, delivery, and customer teams
- check_circle Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to different stakeholders
Basic qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, AI, or Machine Learning, including at least 2 years with Generative AI
- Strong Python skills and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- Experience with LLMs, AI agents, vector databases, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation
- Familiarity with platforms and tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Databricks, or LangChain
- Strong knowledge of software design, data structures, algorithms, SQL, and NoSQL databases
- Experience with cloud-native solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and Agile practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
