Senior Azure AI Architects
What if your next architecture role gave you the opportunity to influence not only the solution, but also the capability, standards and offerings around it?
BearingPoint is expanding its Microsoft capabilities in Denmark. We are looking for experienced Azure AI architects who can help Danish organisations move from AI ambition and experimentation to secure, governed and value-creating AI solutions in production, while helping shape the local practice, delivery assets and client propositions around Microsoft AI.
About this role
You bring the Azure AI depth: models, grounding, retrieval, agents, custom AI applications, evaluation and the integration foundation required for production solutions.
Your role is to combine deep Azure AI expertise with broader Azure architecture knowledge, helping clients build solutions that are secure, scalable, and operationally ready.
You will work across AI and cloud technologies, supporting clients from initial concepts and proofs of value to enterprise-scale implementations.
What you will do:
Architecture and delivery leadership
- Lead the architecture of Azure-based AI and generative AI solutions from discovery and target design through delivery and operational handover.
- Guide engineering teams, review designs and help resolve the decisions that matter most to production quality.
- Translate technical options and trade-offs into clear recommendations for business and technology stakeholders.
Client advisory, engagement and proposition contribution
- Engage clients to understand priorities, pain points, readiness and value drivers, translating technical possibilities into practical business and technology advice.
- Facilitate briefings, discovery sessions and workshops with business, IT, data, security and change stakeholders to identify, assess and priorities relevant AI use cases.
- Shape realistic roadmaps, success measures, estimates, risks, adoption approaches and delivery plans that connect technical choices to clear client value.
- Support propositions, proposals, demonstrations and proofs of value that make Microsoft AI tangible and help qualify the right client opportunities.
- Develop reusable reference patterns, accelerators and delivery assets that strengthen future engagements.
- Build trusted client relationships, identify relevant follow-on needs and mentor engineers by connecting local delivery with BearingPoint’s international expertise.
- Translate Microsoft’s evolving AI platform capabilities into relevant client narratives, demos and delivery patterns for the Danish market.
Why this opportunity is different
- Take a visible role in building the Microsoft AI capability in Denmark: close to clients, close to decisions and close to the standards we establish.
- Influence reference architectures, delivery standards, accelerators and the offerings we take to market.
- Help clients move from early AI exploration to prioritised use cases, production architecture, adoption and measurable business value.
- Combine technical depth with trusted consultancy, advisory and opportunity shaping, without being expected to act as the sole salesperson or practice builder.
- Draw on colleagues across BearingPoint’s European Microsoft organisation or +500 people, while helping create a strong local team.
- Build market visibility through client outcomes, reusable assets and relevant points of view.
We are looking for:
There is no single route into this role. You may currently work as an Azure AI Architect, Cloud Solution Architect, Data and AI Architect, Software Architect or senior engineer with architecture responsibility. You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed below.
The foundations that matter most:
- Credible architecture and hands-on delivery experience on Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments.
- Practical experience delivering AI or generative AI solutions and making sound choices about grounding, responsible AI, evaluation, safety, integration, observability and operations.
- A strong understanding of cloud architecture across identity, security, networking, application delivery and governance.
- The ability to lead client conversations, explain complex decisions clearly and turn ambiguity into a phased delivery approach.
- A strong consulting and commercial mindset, with the ability to create client interest, build trusted relationships and help bring clients onboard for new AI opportunities.
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure data services, Python, C# or TypeScript can be valuable, but these are examples rather than a mandatory checklist.
- Fluent Danish and professional English language skills
Relevant learning and credentials
Microsoft and other relevant credentials are welcome as evidence of applied learning, but practical experience, judgement and measurable client impact matter more. Relevant learning may include:
- Azure architecture and Azure AI learning paths or credentials.
- Applied Skills related to Azure AI, agents, responsible AI or Microsoft Fabric.
- Relevant learning in cloud security, data, DevOps or software architecture.
Interested?
We look forward to receiving your application by 30 September 2026. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and we may begin interviews before the deadline, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
You may not match every example in this description. That should not prevent you from engaging with us. Strong candidates often build their experience through different combinations of consulting, architecture, transformation and delivery.
Practical details:
- Location: Copenhagen, hybrid working.
- Travel: primarily within Denmark, with occasional travel in the Nordics and Europe.
- Employment: permanent, full-time. We are happy to accommodate the right candidate’s notice period.
- Applications are reviewed continuously, and the position will close when the right candidate is found.
What success could look like
Your first year will be shaped with you and by the client opportunities we build together. Success will be measured by your ability to create confidence with clients, turn AI ambition into practical delivery and contribute to the growth of BearingPoint’s Microsoft AI practice in Denmark. Success criteria could include:
Take architecture responsibility in early Azure AI client engagements and help clients move from exploration to prioritised use cases, clear solution direction and delivery readiness.
Build trusted relationships with Danish clients by translating technical options into business-relevant recommendations, risks, estimates and next steps.
Create demonstrations, reference patterns, accelerators, or points of view that make client conversations more concrete and help convert interest into qualified opportunities.
Contribute visibly to the local Microsoft AI practice by sharing practical delivery standards, mentoring colleagues and supporting follow-on client discussions together with account and advisory teams.
