Overview:

The Senior Data & AI Engineer will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and systems that power data and AI use cases at Parkhill. This role focuses on data pipelines, production AI systems, and scalable platforms that enable data analyst/scientists and business teams to work efficiently with reliable, high-quality data.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Data and AI governance group, Data and AI board, and Digital Practice group to set the direction for the Lakehouse infrastructure
  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from AEC specific source systems (ex. Civil3D, Revit, Procore, etc.) into a use-case-ready environment
  • Collaborate with business SMEs, data analysts/scientists, and the Digital Practice group to provide reliable and clean data
  • Build and deploy machine learning and AI models into production environments, ensuring scalability and reliability
  • Manage cloud platforms and data storage systems
  • Develop APIs and platforms to enable integration of AI solutions into business use cases
  • Optimize data systems for speed, efficiency, and reliability
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for data infrastructure initiatives

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in data engineering, AI engineering, or software engineering roles, preferably in the AEC industry
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and big data tools
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering frameworks
  • Experience deploying ML/AI models into production (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks for production use
  • Experience with data visualization/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) a plus
  • Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance standards
