Senior Data Scientist

We are now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science & Analytics team in Global IT — someone who can not only deliver high‑quality models and insights but also serve as the primary bridge between our business stakeholders in Denmark and our data science capabilities.
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play an active role in shaping and influencing data-driven decision-making, partnering with operational and strategic stakeholders, and ensuring that complex analytical solutions create measurable business value. You will work closely together with data scientists and machine learning engineers in projects such as:
- Commodity, livestock, demand forecasting.
- Computer vision applications on factories.
- Promotion and marketing effectiveness.
The team
You will become part of the Data Science & Analytics team within the Data, Analytics & AI space in the Global IT department. We work on multiple initiatives for various business units, with tasks around delivering data analysis and insights, modelling of complex data sources, and research and implementation of machine learning and deep learning models for tasks such as time-series forecasting, image recognition, or natural language processing, amongst others.
We are curious about the latest developments in our space, and therefore actively encourage everyone to have an innovative mindset and propose their ideas for further incubation.
In this senior role, you will help guide technical direction, contribute to innovation efforts, and ensure alignment between the business needs and our broader Data Science roadmap.
Specific tasks
- Lead end‑to‑end development of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions — from scoping to deployment.
- Act as the main analytical partner for business stakeholders located in Denmark and abroad.
- Translate business needs into analytical opportunities and shape high-value projects.
- Provide actionable insights, identify trends, and measure performance.
- Ensure solutions are scalable and aligned with enterprise architecture.
- Mentor junior data scientists and foster knowledge-sharing.
- Drive best practices in modelling, documentation, explainability, and operationalization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
About you
You are a passionate, detail-oriented, and experienced data scientist with a knack for uncovering insights from data, thriving in a collaborative environment and always eager to learn and apply new technologies. With a strong analytical mindset, you enjoy solving complex problems and your excellent communication skills allow you to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Other qualifications to succeed in this role are as follows:
- 4+ years of experience in data science or related roles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Fluent in English. Working knowledge of Danish is a plus.
- Confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication and problem-structuring abilities.
- Strong programming skills in Python; SQL is a plus.
- Experience with machine learning, statistical modelling, and cloud platforms.
