Role overview
Data Idols are recruiting a Senior Data Scientist to develop the next generation of recommendation engines, conversational AI experiences and personalisation models for a large-scale digital platform. This is an opportunity to combine machine learning, recommender systems and Generative AI to solve real-world customer problems while delivering measurable commercial impact.
Responsibilities
- check_circle You’ll design, build and deploy production-grade machine learning models that power highly personalised customer experiences.
- check_circle From recommendation algorithms and retrieval systems through to LLM-powered conversational AI, you’ll be working on products used by millions of customers every day.
- check_circle This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with Product Managers, Engineers and MLOps teams to take ideas from experimentation into production.
- check_circle You’ll also help shape technical best practice across the team, championing robust experimentation, high-quality code and scalable machine learning systems.
Basic qualifications
- Strong commercial experience with Python
- Excellent understanding of machine learning, statistical modelling and experimental design
- Experience developing and deploying end-to-end machine learning products into production
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of recommender systems, personalisation, retrieval or ranking techniques is highly desirable
- Experience working with LLMs, Generative AI or conversational AI products would be advantageous
