About the Role:
As a Data Scientist at SedAI, you will play a key role in turning data into insights, models, and intelligent systems that drive value across the organization. You will work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to build data-driven solutions and develop machine learning models that solve complex real-world challenges in the global real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities
Design, develop, and validate predictive models and optimization algorithms for production use
Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to ensure scalable deployment of machine learning models
Design and evaluate A/B tests and experiments to support product and business decisions
Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and data solutions
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the data science environment, tools, and best practices
Qualifications:
PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a similar quantitative discipline
5+ years of experience in a data science or applied machine learning role
Experience in data exploration, analysis, and visualization using Python, pandas, NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, Seaborn, Jupyter Notebooks, and JupyterLab
Hands-on experience with model development, particularly Bayesian or dependency networks for probabilistic programming, using libraries such as pgmpy, NetworkX, scikit-learn, TensorFlow Probability, or PyTorch
Familiarity with model deployment frameworks such as Flask or Django
Proficient in code management and collaboration tools like Git, GitHub, or similar
Nice to have: Experience working with geospatial data tools such as GeoPandas or Folium
Excellent problem-solving skills, business acumen, and strong communication abilities
Ability to think critically and creatively in a dynamic environment and quickly learn new tools and domain knowledge
A positive attitude and a growth mindset
Fluent in English and German (minimum B2 level)
