This isn't just another engineering role - you will be the technical catalyst for Generative AI within Transporeon’s Product & Platform team. You will have the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between high-level AI research and scalable, production-ready microservices, directly influencing the intelligence of a global logistics network.

Key Exciting Responsibilities:

  • Lead GenAI Innovation: Architect and implement Generative AI features leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG frameworks, and agent orchestration.
  • Design Scalable Systems: Translate complex product requirements into modular, cloud-native software designs using modern microservices principles.
  • Modernize the Stack: Contribute to the continuous evolution of our platform using Java, Kafka, and cloud-native best practices (AWS/Azure).
  • Drive Engineering Excellence: Mentor junior engineers, conduct deep-dive code reviews, and advocate for high-quality, testable, and maintainable source code.
  • Bridge Design & Production: Collaborate in cross-functional agile squads to launch production-ready applications that solve real-world transportation challenges.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Foundation: 5+ years of professional experience in software delivery with a strong background in Java and language internals.
  • GenAI Proficiency: Proven experience using LLMs for code development, debugging, and optimization, with an understanding of AI-driven feature architecture.
  • Architectural Expertise: Deep knowledge of REST APIs, Messaging frameworks (Kafka), and both SQL/NoSQL database design.
  • Cloud & Linux Mastery: Extensive experience with AWS or Azure, including Infrastructure as Code and expert-level Linux proficiency (Git, SSH).
  • Educational Background: BE/BTech/ME/MTech or M.S. in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience with Databricks or Datadog for monitoring LLM performance.
  • Prior experience in the Transportation or Logistics industry.
  • Contributions to open-source GenAI projects or RAG framework research.
