The Opportunity

Build AI-powered features for millions of creatives. Firefly Boards is an infinite canvas growing explosively. You’ll own and ship features with direct user impact. High-visibility work on innovative AI. Days from idea to production, shaping what and how we are building.

What you'll do

Ship production ML features : own end-to-end ML development from experimentation to deployment

Drive intelligent user experiences : integrate and optimise ML models (recommendations, generation, automation) that power core creative workflows

Productionize at velocity : deploy reliable, monitored ML systems that scale, maintaining performance under high-traffic B2C conditions

Partner with product engineering : collaborate with frontend/backend teams to integrate ML seamlessly into user flows, optimizing for both technical quality and user impact

Build agentic capabilities : develop autonomous AI agents that handle complex creative workflows

What you need to succeed

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. PhD is a big plus.

6+ years of experience on the ML field with consistent results

Experience delivering consistent business results through ML

Strong skills and development experience with Python, Typescript or C++

Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms

Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and analytics techniques, with practical experience in developing and deploying ML models

Good knowledge of machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow or Jax)

Product impact focus - you measure success by user adoption and business metrics, not just model accuracy

Comfortable working with multi-functional teams (frontend, backend, product, design) in async environments

Fast iteration mentality - you ship incrementally and improve based on real-world feedback

Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking

Bonus Qualifications:

Graphics/ML intersection:
image generation, vector graphics understanding, creative ML applications

Experience working with OpenAI APIs and other model APIs (e.g., Hugging Face, Cohere)

Experience shipping ML to B2C products with millions of users

Multi-modal models: vision-language models, audio processing for creative workflows
