Position Summary

The Generative AI Bucharest engineering team is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help drive the development of innovative ML-first features within Adobe Creative Cloud applications. In this role, you will work on critical projects, contributing to the design, implementation, and optimization of production-grade machine learning solutions. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams on model creation, hosting, delivery infrastructure, and responsible dataset creation. This position offers high visibility and impact, with opportunities to collaborate with Adobe’s global Generative AI teams.

What you'll do

Transform requirements into architectural and feature specs

Drive one or more features

Develop high-performance, reliable, testable and maintainable code

Identify internal/outside technologies and when/how to use them

Grow with the support of your team, and help others on the team grow by providing thoughtful feedback and uplifting those around you

Work well both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced development team

Demonstrate features, propose and review technical solutions

Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate AI/ML components into existing software systems and ensure seamless functionality and performance

Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, review code, and ensure alignment to guidelines in software development and AI/ML engineering

Monitor and optimize the performance of AI/ML systems, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for scalability and efficiency improvements

What you need to succeed

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. PhD is a big plus.

7+ years of experience on the ML field with consistent results

Strong skills and development experience with Python, Typescript or C++

Strong knowledge of design patterns, data structures and algorithms

Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and analytics techniques, with practical experience in developing and deploying ML models

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions

Experience working with OpenAI APIs and other model APIs (e.g., Hugging Face, Cohere) is a plus

Good knowledge of machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow or Jax) is a plus

Knowing the sweet spot between " getting it done " and building a sustainable product

Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking
