The mission of our team is to ensure that Robinhood’s Applications and Environments are built and operated with the highest security standards, enabling a safer, scalable, and resilient platform for millions of users. By proactively identifying vulnerabilities, managing risks, and providing the engineering community with innovative security tools, we drive strong security practices across all applications and production systems.

What you’ll do

  • Build scalable systems and components, making trade-offs that balance stability and long-term maintainability
  • Transform security operations and workflows into libraries and SDKs that enable smooth adoption and integration by application and platform teams
  • Develop and optimize security tools for real-time threat detection and anomaly analysis using AI/ML models
  • Build scalable AI-driven systems to automate vulnerability prioritization and improve incident response times
  • Collaborate with backend and security teams to enhance security protocols and integrate AI-driven solutions into core systems
  • Identify chances to enhance system performance, improve team efficiency, and minimize security risks through automated solutions

What you bring

  • 5+ years of Software Development experience.
  • 3+ years experience writing low latency, large scale distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Go or Python, with exceptional problem-solving and production debugging skills.
  • Expertise with cloud-native platforms, container and orchestration technologies (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Kafka).
  • Experience supporting and developing machine learning models and data pipelines.
  • Proven experience working on large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team.
  • Strong technical grasp with excellent judgment on task prioritizations.
  • Ability to solve sophisticated engineering problems that deliver results aligned with team objectives.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
